The role of Senior System Engineer is to lead a team of engineers to implement and support the Wintel/VMWare MS Azure cloud infrastructure and services in accordance with Service Levels.
Lead a medium to large team of engineers and be a mentor to junior/senior engineers.
Able to perform migration of AD and Email and file server to Microsoft O365 Online
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud
Good knowledge of Hyper Converged Infrastructure architectures
Deep experience in hypervisor, software defined network, software defined storage, cloud orchestration and automation, NGFW, storage and backup.
Deep, in-depth knowledge of VMWare, MS Windows technologies, AD, clustering, and MS NLB (Network Load Balancing) especially troubleshooting.
Provide long-term process/service improvement measures and plans.
Regular 8x5 support but may be required to be on standby for 7x24 support when necessary. Expected to work during off-peak hours on system activities.
Experienced with reporting and interfacing with senior management.
Proficient in leading integrated process teams, as well as coordinating and communicating customer requirements.
Identify, research, and resolve technical problems.
Experienced in other technologies such as storage, backup, web, and middleware will have extra advantage,
Requirements
Degree Computer Information Systems or related field.
Minimum 6-8 years of experience in MS Windows infrastructure management and cloud operations
Excellent Windows Server Administration ability - MCSE Certified Windows Server or MS IIS Administration
Possess ITIL v3 Foundation Certification, VMWare VCP Certification or Training
Knowledge in BCP/DR (Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery) System OS recovery process
In-depth knowledge of cloud operations and virtual technologies
Ability to prioritize effectively and work with a sense of urgency.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and experienced and skilled in Windows scripting
