The Technical Architect (Application) role will be working under the Enterprise Architecture & Strategy (EAS) office to support the following objectives: Govern IT architectural principles and standards across the RWS organization Devise IT strategies and align the development of RWS IT landscape Drive the RWS Business Services Platform initiative across the different lines of business Explore and evaluate technologies in pursuance of the RWS digital transformation journey Job Responsibilities: Participate in architecture reviews for new systems or changes to existing systems Engage stakeholders (i.e. project teams and business units) to ensure architecture is aligned with business requirements Support proof-of-value initiatives to meet business and IT needs Provide technical leadership to project teams in areas of solution design and application development Perform technical design reviews and ensure enterprise-wide architectural standards are adhered to Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science with a specialization in software engineering, application development, or similar Technology enthusiast with a minimum of 10 years working experience in the fields of IT architecture and software development Avid practitioner of system architecture design patterns such as modularity designs, event-driven architectures, and microservices architectures Highly proficient in development platforms/frameworks/tooling such as Java, .NET Core, Springboot, Kubernetes, Jenkins and OpenSearch Good knowledge in Cloud technologies X-as-a-Service from different Cloud Services Providers (CSP) Familiar with project delivery methodologies (i.e. Waterfall, Agile/Scrum) Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills Superb organizational and time management skills Great collaboration and communication skills
