Job Description


Job Purpose

The Senior Traffic Officer in Operations Plans & Development Branch will support the two Operations departments (Control and Station Service Operations) in meeting the operational needs and requirements. He/ she will assist the Operations group to achieve its objectives while ensuring control of internal governance within the group. Reporting to the respective team lead, the Senior Traffic Officer will be assigned either to Safety Compliance, Operations Training, Fare Systems Operations, Project, Plans or Service Quality team to support the relevant team functions.

He/she may be required to work on-shift or irregular working hours, when required and may be activated during incidents or train service disruptions at TEL stations.

Responsibilities

  • Safety Compliance - Support and coordinate the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of TEL Integrated Management System (Safety, Environmental, Quality, Asset & Risk Management) and conduct audits to ensure all activities and processes of Operations group comply with both internal governance frameworks and external regulations.
  • Operations Training - Support the development, coordination, facilitation, and record management of training to maintain the competency of Operations group staff.
  • Fare Systems Operations - Support the development of processes, policies, and standards to track and analyse fare and revenue collection and ensure integrity of fare collection.
  • Project - Provide project support for new projects such as the East Coast Integrated Depot and future TEL stages.
  • Plans - Provide administrative support in coordinating events, document control, procurement, budget, and inventory management.
  • Service Quality - Support and coordinate customer service excellence initiatives and processes as part of service quality assurance.
  • Perform any other Operations Support functions and duties assigned.
Qualifications & Work Experience

Diploma in Engineering discipline. Supervisory experiences in railway industry or front-line operation experience in public transportation.
