There is a lot of work behind the pretty pixels. Design Engineers must go beyond visual appeal and ensure the other pieces that make an exceptional user experience are taken care of.You are a good fit ifCollaborate closely with design
This is one of the pre-requisite of being a UX Engineer. You need to be able to work very closely with the design systems team and support in bridging the gaps that usually plague the designengineering collaboration workflow. This includes aspects like:

• Setting the standard practices for Design handoff

• Identifying and educating designers on implementation cost versus the impact on experience (for example over animating things)

• Reusability of components

• Providing guidance on OS standards (mobile and web)

• Helping build prototypes that are outside of Figma capabilities

Be an expert in engineering technologies

• Expertise in Core Technologies: The candidate possesses a robust command of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript, ensuring a solid foundation in frontend development.
• Architectural Proficiency: They exhibit a deep understanding of frontend architecture, adeptly optimizing build processes using tools like npm, yarn, and webpack to enhance performance and efficiency.
• Scalability Experience: Demonstrating their experience, they have successfully scaled and architected CSS across diverse projects and products, navigating complexities with ease.
• Champion of Reusability: With a keen eye for optimization, they architect and champion a library of reusable components, streamlining development processes and fostering consistency.
• Testing Aptitude: Their understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies ensures the delivery of high-quality, reliable solutions. Passion for User Experience: Above all, their passion for crafting interactive and delightful user experiences serves as the driving force behind their work, ensuring that every project exceeds expectations.

Work on Product implementation and integration
The flip side of working with designers and the design systems team is the actual consumers of the system - the product design and engineering team. You will be required to work closely with products and help them understand how to use the system to best of its capabilities. With your help, they will be able to build and launch features, that would usually take them months. Your focus will be on building the UI while the product focuses on building APIs and logic.Independent decision maker
The UX engineer will be responsible for owning and executing tasks that are pain points for the user experience. They will also works on design-led projects. Being part of the Design team gives UX Engineers the autonomy and ability to work on things that would often get deprioritised in an Engineering backlog.Understand the basics of good design
