In Asia Citi Global Wealth, combines the Citi Private Bank and the Consumer Wealth organization, including the International Personal Bank, into a single platform to serve our clients.

The Senior Vice President (SVP) is an important individual contributor to the CGW Asia Management Office, and reports to the Director & CGW Asia Head of Project Management.

The SVP will join a newly created team to frame, design, document and execute business projects. While the SVP will work alongside senior business sponsors (usually members of the CGW Asia Leadership Team based in Hong Kong or Singapore), the role will need to work closely with colleagues at all levels across CGW, Legacy Franchise and other businesses / functions on a day-to-day basis. Assigned projects may include organization design, simplification, and other cross-franchise business initiatives. Due to the diverse projects to support the long-term sustainable growth of the business, the SVP must enjoy being a team player and be prepared to manage ambiguity, challenge status quo, and execute with speed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and design of assigned business and/or organizational projects per the defined scope, target state and success criteria.
  • Translate business directives to a creditable project plan with clear roles and responsibilities, deliverables, and timeline.
  • Timely execution of assigned projects and initiatives including identifying and managing dependencies, providing transparency and status update to stakeholders, ensuring timely closure of milestones / deliverables, and managing appropriate project governance processes / approvals.
  • Bring business expertise on the end-to-end process with a strong focus on improving client experience, creating efficiency, and minimizing operational risk.
  • Contribute to the look across of various regional and country initiatives in client segments, products, centers of excellence and legal entities. Where needed, recommend and support combining or connecting initiatives to achieve greater effectiveness or efficiency.
  • Articulate problems, bring the right stakeholders together to resolve and know when the problem is properly addressed or require further escalation.
  • Build new framework and processes for the integrated CGW Asia, e.g. capacity planning, headcount management, etc. Manage and perform the new processes till the point of go-live or assigned to permanent process owner.
  • Contribute to CGW wide or Asia wide strategic and tactical initiatives as defined by seniors.
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant experience, preferably in banking and financial services
  • Appreciation of Legacy Franchise, Citi Private Bank or Consumer Wealth business and strong understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to set priorities and manage multiple activities in a fast paced, highly matrix and dynamic environment
  • Highly analytical, detail oriented and Six Sigma a plus
  • Franchise Player - broad and critical thinker with ability to build internal relationships at all levels and influence stakeholders to drive common goals and outcomes in an open, transparent, and collaborative manner
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator
  • Bachelor's/University degree, MBA preferred
