We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President, Head of Retail Bancassurance.

Principal Responsibilities

Lead and take ownership of business activities to support our HSBC Retail Bank by working closely with the Chief Distribution Officer and other stakeholders to realize our growth ambition with HSBC Bank Wealth & Personal Banking franchise

The Core Responsibilities will include the following:

  • Drive and Lead the HSBC Retail bank distribution channel to develop and shape strategy for this channel for HSBC Life
  • To Execute strategic plans to materialize our growth ambition to be a leading bancassurance player
  • Lead a team of BDMs to support & partner HSBC Retail Bank to:
  • Drive the right product mix and the right volume and value for the business
  • Build an integrated Banca model
  • Ensure a relevant and meaningful performance management and monitoring rigour
  • Roll out specific strategies for both the onshore and offshore segments and build the right customer segment models for better customer engagement & growth
  • Ensure a robust remote engagement with customers
  • Partner with stakeholders for a strong WPB Ecosystem play focusing on an integrated customer journey and experience
  • Ensure a close follow through and partnership with underwriting, the case management team, training and development and other stakeholders
  • Identify critical issues/opportunities and develop strategic recommendations to senior management on how to optimize near, mid to long term growth
  • Participate in business planning activities which may include financial, product, technological and resource planning
  • Facilitate & support senior management decision making by the use of management information, performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC Life strategy
  • Participation in forums and committees to represent view of our HSBC Retail bank
  • Be an active participant in both the construct & active monitoring of business processes and ensure the right visibility and management of core governance related activities
  • To collaborate with Operations and internal departments to improve operation efficiency towards a customer centric culture by developing and implementing distribution support systems including - sales process, sales fulfilment, channel management, sales communication and information management (MIS) within the channel
  • Sharing market intelligence, sales/ customer statistics and sales concepts with relevant stakeholders
  • Building close rapport and relationships with HSBC Retail bank and her stakeholders
  • Engaging both internal and HSBC Retail bank\xe2\x80\x99s stakeholders to achieve optimal operational efficiency towards a customer centric culture and smoothen internal teams\xe2\x80\x99 collaboration and effectiveness
  • Consolidating all HSBC Retail bank\xe2\x80\x99s feedback in the area of bancassurance business and acting as the source of recommendations for INSP\xe2\x80\x99s product development, operations & processes and underwriting streamlining and/or enhancements
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge and at least 15 years of expertise in retail bancassurance business, products, operations and procedures
  • Extensive leadership experience with a strong capacity to innovate and find solutions, ability to lead change, challenge status quo, influence and actively drive performance
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and business acumen
  • Analytical mind with strong problem-solving aptitude
  • Self-starter with a drive to learn and high adaptability capability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills with an ability to interact, influence, and build relationships with internal and Retail bank\xe2\x80\x99s stakeholders
  • Strong execution capabilities, able to build collaboration and good stakeholder management skills in complex organizational structures
  • High level of personal integrity and values are in line with HSBC core values
  • Possesses a Bachelor Degree/ Master in Business Administration (MBA), or other related fields
