About the Department

Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

We have centralized and standardized the technology components into Singapore, creating a global footprint which can be utilized for supporting our regional subsidiaries and the branches around the world. We operate and support 19 countries with this architecture to provide a secure and flexible banking infrastructure.

Our Operations divisions provide transactional customer services for our businesses while also focusing on cost efficiency through process improvements, automation and straight through processing.

Job Responsibilities

  • The Channel Operations Centre Division Head\'s primary responsibility is to propose, plan and review the implementation of new solution and processes (including enhancements) for centralized operations as well as to oversee the operations of Channel Operations Centre.
  • He/she will also plan, review and implement the directions, goals and strategies for the Division.
  • The overview of financial operations functions in Channel Operation Centre includes Cheque Clearing, GIRO Clearing, internal fund transfer, debit/credit adjustment, FAST/PayNow operation and Self Service Machine operation.
  • The non-financial transaction processing includes account opening, customer / account / self-service channels services / DDA maintenance, and production order processing.
  • Ensure that quality policies and service standards are implemented and maintained
  • Ensure that the Bank\'s policies, guidelines, operations control and compliance requirements are strictly adhered to
  • Ensure that any audit observations are followed up promptly and all staff are briefed accordingly to prevent recurrence
  • Inform Singapore Retail Operations Head and other relevant parties promptly of any discrepancies, exceptions and non-compliance, if necessary
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and service quality in the division and drive these enhancement programs
  • Supervise the division\'s daily operations
  • Prepare the Division\'s capital and operating budgets
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree with 12 to 15 years of working experience in Retail Operations
  • Banking and product domain knowledge
  • Ability to oversee a large team
  • Excellent communications and able to work in a dynamic environment
