The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Vice President Marketing. Principal Responsibilities

  • The job holder is responsible for the planning, implementation and execution of the overall brand and marketing strategy for Global Private Banking (GPB) within Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) for South Asia region, targeting UHNW and HNW segment of HSBC Group
  • Overall in charge of driving awareness, engagement and conversion across marketing channels including but not limited to client events/webinars, advertising, digital and direct marketing, promotions, media planning, marketing sponsorships, content and collaterals and social media to support business strategies and objectives, as well as to improve on overall customer experience and HSBC’s Brand KPIs
  • Identify and understand the wealth needs of UHNW and HNW segment across South Asia, and co-create marketing and branding campaigns with creative agencies to support wealth product uptake of existing customers and acquire new customers
  • Oversee, deploy and monitor the effectiveness of overall Marketing budget for GPB South Asia
  • Achieve business objectives including customer growth, cross-sell, retention, revenue, market share and profitability
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customer-centricity and collaboration throughout the planning, decision-making and implementation process
  • Managing a team of motivated individuals and ensure there is continuous motivation and improvement of staff performance through regular guidance, mentoring, coaching, counselling and performance reviews
  • Embrace HSBC’s values and principles in day-to-day work to demonstrate values-aligned behaviour to build a cooperative and cohesive culture in the department
  • The job holder is a senior member of the South Asia Global Private Banking leadership team as well as the Singapore Customer Propositions & Marketing management team. A critical success factor will be the ability to work across global businesses and functions, and directly with Regional Head of Global Private Banking Marketing, Head of Global Private Banking for South Asia and Country Market Heads and Desk Heads, Head of Investments and Wealth Solutions, Products Heads and CIO team, Trust and Fiduciary Advisory and Wealth Planning Advisory, Risk, Legal and Compliance teams as well as COO office
  • This role is based in Singapore with functional & entity reporting line into Head of Customer Proposition, International and Marketing, Singapore

  • Degree from an accredited institution
  • Experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management covering HNW and UHNW marketing strategy including client engagements and events, digital marketing, product and proposition marketing; the ability to demonstrate expertise in the above described responsibilities are vital
  • Performance driven attitude with strong commercial acumen and prior experience in sales and business development for HNW and UHNW segments
  • Strong understanding of private banking industry with good analytical, project management skills and an eye-for-detail
  • Demonstrated experience with Offshore marketing across South Asia
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed organisation and in a diverse environment that requires excellent interpersonal, communications and negotiation skills with stakeholders of all levels and across countries, regional and global structure
  • Experienced people manager with skills to lead and coach a dedicated team of marketers
  • Proven ability to be a self-starter who is passionate in marketing and branding, has high energy and drive for success in a challenging and dynamic environment
  • Commitment to putting the customer at the heart of all development and implementation activities
  • Agile / scrum and data-driven marketing experience preferred
