What the role is:
The Centre-Based Care & Social Support (CCSS) team (under the Ageing Planning Office in the Ministry of Health) is at the forefront of overseeing the overall strategy, policy, resourcing and governance for Senior Care Centre (SCC) and Active Ageing Centre (AAC) services. The end goal is to enable seniors to remain well and socially engaged in the community and ensure service providers are uplifted to play such roles to support our seniors.
What you will be working on:
In this role, you will lead teams to carry out policymaking and planning of AAC and SCC services. These include designing policy levers (e.g. care models, sector structure, and capacity planning), reviewing resourcing models (e.g. budget, manpower, site allocation), and putting in place governance structures supporting the provision of AAC and SCC services. This will require systems and critical thinking to review the model of care in AACs and SCCs so that these services remain relevant in meeting emerging needs of seniors and their caregivers. This will also require a strong ability to collaborate closely with and work through stakeholders to implement these strategies. You will be working in a fast paced and highly volatile environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time. You can expect meaningful work that will improve the lived experience of seniors, while growing professionally through developing your policy, strategy, planning and stakeholder engagement skills.
