Job Description


What you will be working on:1. Monitor and ensure that maintenance activities / of equipment within pumping installations and odour control facilities, which can include maintenance of highwater level alert system, inspection and testing of lifting equipment, carbon media replacements and blower systems, horticulture works, housekeeping and pest control works are carried out safely and in accordance with the schedule. 2. Carry out technology sourcing and conduct trials of technologies or tools to optimise manpower resources during maintenance activities. Evaluate the feasibility of the tools/technologies for long term use and the implementation schedules 3. Review technical drawings, specifications and schematics of new equipment, and oversee the testing and commissioning of these new equipment/system. 4. Lead root cause analysis of equipment breakdowns, public feedback and propose solutions/areas for improvements. Review recommended repair works/solutions to ensure adherence to required quality standards. 5. Review maintenance plans, schedules, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for inspection, testing and maintenance of equipment. 6. Plan and manage the team/manpower resources and expenditures of term contracts used to carry out maintenance works and procurement of activated carbon stockpile. 7. Draft, call and evaluate tender proposals for term contracts that are used for maintenance works and procurement of activated carbon stockpile. 8. Liaise with stakeholders from various agencies such as JTC, LTA etc, feedback providers and private owners on their concerns and carry out thorough inspection and investigation to assess the cause/source of feedback and to facilitate maintenance activities within the pumping installations. 9. Liaise with contractors on tasks, activities and progress of deployment of response plans, maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and rectification of defects to mechanical equipment. Ensure that all work activities are carried out safely and in accordance with safe work procedures, contract specifications and statutory requirements. 10. Review condition assessment and maintenance reports submitted by contractors to ensure works were carried out in order before recommending for acceptance. 11. Conduct inspections at Contractors\' storage site or workshop to verify inventory of spare parts and activated carbon stockpile.What we are looking for:

  • Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Environmental Engineering \xe2\x80\xa2 Fit and able to work outdoors/carry out site work \xe2\x80\xa2 Comfortable with working in used water environment \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to respond to urgent situations outside normal working hours on short notice
