Job Purpose

We are looking for a hands-on Systems Engineer with experience in Wintel system administration to be part of an infrastructure operations and maintenance team.

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting on IT Hardware/Software and Server problems
• Provide oversight of Data Centers as well as remote sites\' server rooms
• Vendor management and escorting vendor within SMRT\'s premises
• Engage vendors for technical assistance when needed
• Participate in key process improvements related to IT Infrastructure
• Develop and maintain server documentations
• Establish SOP to streamline processes
• Observe, communicate and identify areas of improvement potentials in the IT group as a whole
• Follow standardized operating procedures and create new procedures when required by IT Audit
• Work closely with SI vendor engagement skills and engaging at a high level of professionalism
• Provide Level-2 support
• Manage and monitor systems and infrastructure
• Install and upgrade Wintel systems on services and devices
• Implement system policies including recovery and security policies
• Apply patches and upgrades to systems as necessary
• Work closely with other members of the team to ensure that systems meet high levels of availability
• Be on standby for urgent matters and perform hands-on troubleshooting as required

Qualifications & Work Experience

• Diploma in Computer Studies or equivalent
• Must have at least 3 years of good working experience with implementation, administration and support of Windows Servers (2008/2012/2016/2019) Infrastructure, Microsoft AD, MS Exchange, VMware, Office 365/Azure.
• MCSA/MCSE and/or VMware certification is an added advantage

Skills

• Knowledge in LAN and WAN Support, OS Patch Management, Group Policy & Active Directory Management, San Switch and San Storage
• Ability to understand business unit\'s requirement and provide suggestions and proposals
• Possess strong analytical/problem solving skills to analyze technical issue, assess impact on existing infrastructure, and implement optimized solutions to address the business requirements
• Understanding of ITIL processes including Service Desk, Incident, Problem, Change and Configuration Management
• Experience applying written and verbal communication skills effectively to include the following: Analytic, Organization, and Customer Service Skills Problem solving skills
• Possess the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure and tight deadlines
• Must be able to work in a flexible schedule and support 24/7/365 environments. Punctual, reliable and detail oriented. Strong teamwork and good personality
