Responsibilities
Identify areas of improvement and ensure measurable implementation.
Help in reduce standard hours and implement automation to reduce parts cost.
Analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to solve design challenges.
Evaluate and explore new and existing processes, equipment, and materials as an input to scheduling methods, performance metrics and financial standards.
Develop overall continuous improvement strategy at the Site level using CORE tools.
Assist General Manager in preparing activities for yearly targets structured around Policy Deployment methodology.
Develop and present Cost and CI Strategy to Senior Management in various communication Forums.
Prepare the Site for CORE Office assessments.
Is the point of contact for the Site with CORE Office.
Represent the Site at the Singapore CORE Council.
Lead the Continuous Improvement programs and CORE activities within the company.
Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects, and mentor fellow engineers and technicians.
Support and participate in the EH&S programs and activities within the company.
To report on all incidents (injuries, illnesses, near misses, spills etc), hazardous conditions, and emergencies to his/her supervisor).
Help build a strong Continuous Improvement culture.
Job Requirements
Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or in a related field.
Minimum 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 working experience managing cost reduction programme and continuous improvement activities (e.g. EHS, Lean, Kaizen and etc) in a manufacturing environment.
Strong in CORE tools and techniques and have actively participated in CORE activities.
Degree in Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Good computer skills with proficiency in MS Office.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure, independent and self-motivated.
