Service Delivery Associate Engineer (Networks)

Responsibilities: The successful candidate is to be a team player in an engineering team in Mobile Networks, carrying out systems projects and business change requests on the Online Charging System and Policy Rules System.
This new role supports the following deliveries:

• Virtualised Charging System
• New 5G Policy Control Function

Systems Tasks

• Support systems projects including:
• Software patching
• Systems integration
• Specific activities including:
• Execute tests on software and systems
• Work and liaise with vendors and colleagues
• Deploy the changes during off-peak maintenance hours
• Support urgent troubleshooting when required.

Data Plans’ Rollout

• Support the rollout of Mobile Data plans and services, including new 5G use-cases.
• Specific activities including:
  • Formulate the system logic to support a Mobile Data plan design.
  • Test the system logic against the business requirements.
  • Deploy the new system logic during off-peak maintenance hours.
  
  

The ideal candidate should be/ have:

• Diploma in Engineering majoring in Computer Science, IP networking or Telecommunications/Mobile Communication. Preference for those with certifications in networking (i.e. CCNA/CCNP), Network Security, Programming, Virtualization.
• Bonus if applicant possess the following skillsets:
  • UNIX/Linux. Competence in Unix commands.
  • IP Networking. Knowledge of IP subnetting, switching, routing.
  • Scripting. Ability to write scripts for task automation.
  • Mobile Network. Knowledge of telecommunications standards and protocols including Packet Core, PCRF, PCEF, OCS.
  • Database. Knowledge of database systems and commands.
  • NFVi. Good working knowledge of virtualization, containerization.
  • Knowledge of 4G and 5G architecture.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written English.
• Collaboration and teamwork with colleagues and counterparts is essential.
• The successful candidate is required to perform critical tasks during off-peak maintenance hours.
