Responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining technical equipment and machinery within the service center. This role ensures high-quality repairs that comply with departmental KPIs and QARA requirements, supporting Smith & Nephew in strengthening long-term customer relationships and maximizing equipment value.
What will you be doing?
Perform routine diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of equipment and machinery under supervision.
Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and escalate complex cases as needed.
Conduct equipment calibration and functional checks according to established protocols.
Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), QARA requirements, and safety regulations during all service activities.
Maintain accurate service records, repair logs, and documentation.
Ensure tools, test equipment, and the service area are kept in proper condition.
Provide technical support and respond to service requests promptly.
Assist in communicating service findings and recommendations to customers and internal teams.
Collaborate closely within the team to gain hands-on experience and enhance technical skills.
Support process improvement initiatives within the service center.
Participate in training programs to build expertise in equipment, systems, and troubleshooting methods.
What will you need to be successful?
Success in the role will requires a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization.
Successful candidates would need the following:
Diploma in biomedical/mechanical/electrical engineering (or similar)
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
At least 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing or repairing medical devices is advantageous.
Strong communication and consensus-building skills.
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
