The Role

Our Professional Services team is responsible for the implementation of Veeva's Drug Development suite of applications. As a Services team within a software company, we deliver projects with full ownership in mind. Excellence, Customer Success, and Speed are our day-to-day drivers. The Professional Services team has been growing aggressively during the last 2 years and is expected to keep growing over the next 5 years.

As a Services Operations Specialist, you will ensure that our Professional teams across Asia (Australia, China, Japan, Korea) perform their daily activities with accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. You will develop reporting solutions to make good judgments. You will improve our process to increase data quality and help save time. You will identify and implement new solutions for our team to remain a best-in-class organization while doubling in size.

Reporting directly to the VP of Asia Services, you will have the opportunity to observe how leaders think and work. You will have space to grow in an environment where risk-taking is encouraged. Finally, you will learn more about the life sciences industry and how Veeva makes it easier for large pharma companies to get drugs to market faster, which helps those that are sick get better faster, and makes ultimately the world a healthier place faster.

What You'll Do

  • Ensuring high level of data quality through a close monitoring of field activities
  • Ensuring all services financial records are accurate and finalized by monthly close
  • Designing reports and analytical tools to help first line Asia managers making the right decisions
  • Onboarding for new hires in the Asia Services team
  • Maintaining and improving the Training curricula
  • Simplifying and automating our internal process whenever possible
  • Supporting and guiding the services organization to adhere to maturing practices by closely working with Finance, Legal, Employee Success teams
  • Facilitating communications with subcontractors around contracting and invoicing questions
  • Participate in global services operational initiatives such as roll out of Salesforce Lightning
  • Conduct audits of the reporting system to support operational best practices
  • No travel required, opportunities for occasional travel
Requirements
  • Strong communication skills
  • High level of proficiency with Excel (i.e. pivot tables, not macros)
  • Experience with a professional services organization
  • Demonstrated experience in taking initiatives to identify inefficiencies and ability to drive improvement
  • Highly organized as the role touches many facets of our services operations
  • Experience working successfully in a rapidly changing and cross-cultural environment
  • Is persistent and does not take a 'no' for an answer
  • Bachelor's degree
Nice to Have
  • Fluent in either Mandarin, Japanese or Korean
  • Strong understanding of
reporting * Experience with revenue forecasting and financial procedures
  • Experience in project management or consulting
