:Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), by OPIS, a Dow Jones Company is seeking an Associate Director to work as a part of a team covering market research and analysis of the Asian Aromatics market. You will report to Executive Director, Aromatics.Essential Functions:Provide key market updates for selected Aromatics products along with analytics and forecasts.Generating and analysing trends, cost, and demand dependencies for products involved.Prepare charts and tables that are published routinely and update them as required.Write regular weekly and monthly reports for selected products.Meet clients and participate in industry events; make insightful discussions/presentations on the outlook for concerned products.Supply/Demand - maintain production capacity database, and supply-demand balance forms through entire product chains including annual L-forms, short forms and quarterly balances as needed.Engage with other business lines to leverage the Chemical Market Analytics total solution.Work with the global team to ensure global product area consistency and continuity.Construction of robust and defendable short term and long-term price and margin forecasts.Continuous proactive marketing of related Market Advisory Services to meet annual growth goals: commercial focus to drive growth of Asia Aromatics Service as well as related WorldAnalysis to meet specific goals, sales discussions to be facilitated with client visit programs where possible, develop strong connections to relevant industry associations and build network of industry contacts., give market presentations at client meetings as well as Chemical Market Analytics and industry conferencesProvide support to the Consulting Business for single client project work as requiredKnowledge, skills and abilitiesMinimum 10 years of industry experience, preferably in the chemical industry.Experience in refining or aromatics trading would be a distinct advantage. Expectations include:A thorough understanding of the Aromatics markets, and the key commercial drivers within the marketplace, a robust network of established marketplace contacts, experience may have been gained in production, conversion and / or distribution industries.A chemical engineering degree is an ideal qualification but otherwise a good technical or commercial degree will be accepted combined with industry knowledge.Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
