:
We\'re looking for a Business Development Director for OPIS, A Dow Jones Company based in Singapore with remote work flexibility.
In this role, you need to be a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit to help develop our APAC business in the commodity pricing, news, and analytics space as well as new initiatives in our product roadmap.
You will:
Identify key target customers and generating interest in the OPIS brand in APAC
Develop, coordinate, and execute a business plan to grow our existing products globally and work to develop new products and enhance existing products.
Identify key problems and business challenges facing our customers and working to solve them by interfacing with product management and development teams to determine ways to enhance existing tools or build new products and reports
Liaison with the marketing team to develop key messaging and communication programs.
Continuing the OPIS legacy of providing the highest-quality customer support in the industry.
Drive new revenue and support the team in meeting retention and renewal strategy goals.
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders on the editorial, research, and leadership team to generate new business opportunities and support the growth of the APAC region.
Manage forecasts and pipelines ensuring clear reporting on forthcoming renewals, withdrawals / downsells, additional sales / content opportunities, plus associated revenue, and timescales
Maintain accurate and appropriate records within the global CRM systems providing timely management information
Assist Regional Head and / or Head of IP Coverage in implementing, adapting, revising, and continuing to develop regional revenue and content acquisition strategy
You are:
Proven experience and success in business development with a track record of winning
Proven successful track record in a relationship management role supporting strategic solutions to major companies
Strong results orientation to drive to achieve retention and new business goal
Excellent relationship building skills ensuring ongoing industry credibility
Ability to understand and demonstrate the value proposition for all OPIS products
Good planning skills and attention to detail to successfully plan and complete annual renewals and to develop and implement longer-term retention strategies
10 years of proven experience in business negotiations and internal / external relationship management (could have been developed in sales, consulting, marketing, business development, financial services)
A dynamic and engaging person, who enjoys building relationships, gaining expertise, and earning trust with our clients.
Confident speaking with clients of all job levels and titles, from the day-to-day users of our services all the way up to C-level contacts at some of the largest retail companies in the world.
Not afraid to strike up a conversation with someone in a professional environment and are happily developing and nurturing relationships with important industry contacts.
