The R&C Managed Services team is integral to Dow Jones Data Strategy. The R&C Managed Services leverages our market-leading research expertise and methodologies to assist organisations with data-related projects, providing value-added services to deliver projects on time and within budget.

As a Data Analyst, you will work with a global team of Delivery Managers and Quality Analysts whose primary responsibility is to ensure accurate project scoping and quality, timely deliveries as well as maintaining relationships with Sales and Clients. This role requires a high level of ownership, critical thinking and the ability to effectively manage and develop team members who have a unique role within the overall team. You will also be in contact with clients and sales to ensure project requirements are clear and documented. You will be exposed to large data sets, so experience with data cleansing/transformation, data visualisation and data analysis using SQL/Python/Excel is essential. You will also be responsible for maintaining KPI\'s through collecting relevant data and translate this into meaningful dashboards/reports to offer valuable insights into our operations. We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and enjoys collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure our clients get the best quality results. Your role as a manager is to support delivery managers across time zones in maintaining daily operational workflows as well as identifying opportunities for improvement.

Responsibilities

Collaborate and partner with Delivery Managers to proactively identify process improvements, capture business process requirements, and help translate these requirements into technical solutions to drive efficiency and improve data quality for our team

Lead and develop team members. Focus on continuous improvement of the team, identify the need for training, coaching process improvement and provide recommendations to management

Ensure that all operational processes are timely and accurately executed

Create an environment that fosters open dialogue, builds trust, and engages key stakeholders, especially when views diverge. Bring tough issues to the surface, assess risk tolerance and take decisions to build the necessary support

Assure all quality and operational reports to be accessible to all relevant stakeholders

Build meaningful reports and dashboards that will create valuable insight and drive our operational decision-making

Manipulate data with scripts and other techniques using internal and third-party tools

Liaise with internal stakeholders as well as clients to gather and document requirements, ensuring each project is executed at optimal efficiency.

Automate data collection and aggregation processes to build reporting dashboards

Analyze data, perform research and share feedback to enhance our plans, processes and playbooks

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required

Education to Bachelor\'s degree level

Must have a \xe2\x80\x9cperipheral vision\xe2\x80\x9d with the ability to think ahead and anticipate future challenges and opportunities. Ability to challenge current beliefs and mindsets, including your own

Hands-on experience working with very large datasets, including statistical analyses, data visualization, data mining, and data cleansing/transformation

Experience with conducting data collection and analysis using SQL/Python/Excel

Ability to take ownership of and work independently to manage multiple projects through to completion

Detail-orientation, thoroughness, reliability and ability to prioritize required

Supports and embraces change, challenges status quo, having the ability to identify opportunities for automation

Analytical thinking, abstract reasoning, creative problem-solving, independent decision-making are a must

Experience with Factiva, Dow Jones Risk and Compliance (or similar products) are considered an advantage.
