Manager / Assistant Manager, Social Sciences & Technology Horizontal Technology Programme Office The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A.STAR) is setting up a new research initiative in th Manager / Assistant Manager, Social Sciences & Technology Horizontal Technology Programme Office The Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A.STAR) is setting up a new research initiative in the form of a social sciences & technology horizontal technology programme office. The programme office, to be hosted in the Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC), will focus on integrating social scientific principles with other disciplines to produce impactful, translational research. Our key research domains are health and wellbeing, social sensing and trust (including online misinformation), education (including adult skill training) and urban sustainability and solutions. In this role, the selected candidate will assist the programme leads in organizing and leading the operations of the centre in achieving both internal and external functions. These include assisting with strategic planning and roadmapping, and preparation of reports and presentations. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced environment, through interacting with researchers and external stakeholders and gain career growth through sharpening of planning, organizational, and management skill sets. Suitable candidates should meet the following criteria: . - A bachelors or masters of science or arts in any discipline, though training in or familiarity with the social and behavioural sciences, communications, or computational disciplines, will be highly advantageous. . - At least three to five years' prior experience in performing corporate planning, roadmapping, organizational, or executive roles The following characteristics would be highly desirable in a candidate: . - Willingness to undertake roles of a dynamic, non-routine nature. . - Quick adaptability to diverse organizational cultures. . - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. . - Possess strong communication skills, a people-centric mindset, and an aptitude for problem solving and facing challenges head on.
