General Function
1) Work in R&D environment assisting in the electronics development of new products and
refinement of existing products.
2) Ability to conceptualize, design and develop various electronic and electro-mechanical
systems.
3) Ability to work cross functionally with designers and engineers and production functional
teams.
Responsibilities
1) Coordinate complex engineering projects with various departments.
2) Liaise directly with customer product development team.
3) Determine design approach of electronic architecture for complex systems.
4) Design complex electronic circuits and systems to meet product specifications.
5) Participate in EE design review of complex systems and circuits.
6) Integration of electronics into other aspects of products including software, mechanics and
user interface.
7) Analyze, select and advice on electronic components and equipment.
8) Coordinate construction of prototype and pilot run articles.
9) Review and evaluate electronic vendors for availability, competence and performance.
10) Coordinate project “release” to manufacturing.
11) Document electronics including generating schematics, assembly drawing, procedures,
timing diagrams and operational descriptions.
12) Anticipate and resolve difficulties in all phases of project activities relating to electronics.
13) Carry out risk assessments, process control plans and root cause analysis as relates to
electronic product design.
14) Design, develop and build electronic test systems.
15) Perform electronic experimental test and evaluations.
16) Development and design opportunities in one or more of the following areas:
Embedded micro-processor system design
Medical product design
IO standards and protocol such as USB, IR, LAN, Blue tooth, etc
Power electronics – DC-DC, AC-DC converter, etc
Analog – sensing technologies, signal conditioning, etc
Additional Duties
1) Support your reporting officer in any work-related ad-hoc duties.
2) Support all digitalization initiatives in the company.
