Steem1960 is a leading shipbroking company within gas, liquid chemicals, and clean petroleum products. We cover all aspects from chartering to sale & purchase and projects. Currently, our team consists of close to 90 employees in Oslo, Singapore, Houston, and Bergen.

As we continue our growth strategy, we are seeking for an experienced and highly motivated ship operator to join our Palm Oil/Chemical department in Singapore.

Job Requirement Candidate preferable to have minimum 2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with a ship owner/operator, trading firm or shipbroking operations. The candidate is required to have handle cargo loading and discharging operational & document procedures \xe2\x80\x93 as well as good working knowledge/experience of shipboard operations, cargo loading and disputes. It is required that the candidate should understand different Charter parties, laytime calculations and trading/legal terms.

We are otherwise looking for people who are hands on and able to work independently in an international work environment across time zones. Shipbroking is a service industry and as such we need professionals who are highly service minded with a 24/7 attitude. Although the job requires the candidate to work independently, responsible and manage multiple priorities, the candidate will be part of an operation team linking up to the shipbrokers and as such will have to be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.
