Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Shipping Executive

to join our commercial team. The role involves managing day-to-day commercial shipping operations, including trade development, container deployment, one-way leasing, and cabotage movements. You will work closely with customers, vendors, agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth deployment and flow of containers.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate

commercial shipping activities

for assigned trade lanes or routes. Handle

one-way and cabotage container movements

, including planning, negotiation, and documentation. Develop and maintain strong relationships with

freight forwarders, agents, and customers

. Monitor

container inventory and utilization

to ensure optimal deployment across regions. Prepare and follow up on

freight quotations, bookings, and customer inquiries

. Liaise with the

operations and documentation teams

to ensure timely release and movement of containers. Support

trade and pricing strategies

, including market intelligence gathering and competitor analysis. Maintain and update shipment and booking data in internal systems. Handle

post-shipment follow-ups

, including issue resolution and service recovery where required. Assist in

budgeting and performance reporting

for assigned trades.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Shipping, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or related field. 1-3 years of relevant experience in

container shipping, NVOCC, or freight forwarding

(fresh graduates with strong interest in shipping may be considered). Familiar with

commercial trade, one-way, and cabotage concepts

in container shipping. Strong communication and negotiation skills with customer-oriented mindset. Able to travel within the Asian region. Proficient in Microsoft Office and shipping software systems. Able to work independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
