Reponsibilities

• Manage and overall in charge of the whole shipping and forwarding operations including outbound logistics operations
• Handling requests and inquiries by agents/distributors & customers from throughout Asia
• Negotiate contracts with forwarders and carriers that provide best rates and services to maximize profits
• To oversee and manage the shipping and outbound logistics teams
• Train, coach and set performance objectives for the staff to perform effectively
• Resolve problems concerning shipment and logistics or customer issues
• To liaise with government bodies regarding relevant shipping documents and required certifications
• Monitor, track and co-ordinate deliveries/shipments and documents to ensure that goods come in on time and rectify mistakes and discrepancies
• Collaborating with internal departments to optimize the flow of orders from preparation to shipment
• Create and implement shipping policies and procedures
• Analyze and improve the shipping processes for better productivity within the organization

Requirements

• Bachelors\xe2\x80\x99 Degree in Commerce or Business Management
• Minimum 7-8 years of working experience in similar capacity and with good in-depth knowledge of logistics and shipping documentation preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Proficient in MS Office applications & SAP system
