JOB CONTEXT

The Shopper Marketing Analyst, Singapore reports into Shopper Marketing Manager, Singapore and based in Singapore. The job scope for this role is overall category management of our Singapore entity. The Shopper Marketing Analyst will be responsible for compiling and analysing sales and market data and providing valuable feedback and actionable insights to guide our promotional and sales activities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

To be successful as a Shopper Marketing Analyst you should be able to analyze data to evaluate existing and potential clients, markets, products and business opportunities. They research and evaluate economic, competitor, market, industry and customer growth trends and conditions. One of their standard duties is to collect and analyze data to evaluate monthly and sales goal. They develop data to track and predict seasonal demand, industry shifts and customer buying changes. Align trade marketing initiatives by leveraging analytical tools, identifying new strategic opportunities; developing and updating sales plans to increase assigned area(s) sales and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in coordinating, developing and implementing trade marketing strategy for Category, Trade and Shopper initiatives for assigned area(s);
  • Develop category insights to deliver better share of promotion, distribution and shelving
  • Analyze new growth opportunities by category; recommends new business opportunities
  • Evaluate and measure Marketing/Trade Marketing campaign results; recommend strategic improvement where needed;
  • Conduct promotional performance analysis;
  • Create and deliver comprehensive category reviews and execute category initiatives with client in collaboration and stakeholders including but not limited to Revenue Management and Category Management;
  • Collect data from sales reports for analysis;
  • Closely study past sales data to forecast forward trends;
  • Examine company budget and track trade spend;
  • Study consumer buying behavior from existing database and to determine buying demographic
  • Suggest adjustments on promotional strategies to improve sales productivity and profitability
Qualifications

Degree in business administration, finance, or marketing

Additional Information

Must have:
  • Experienced in sales analysis
  • Strong research and data analysis skill
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and research tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skill
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
  • Keen interest on consumer/shopper behavior, consumer trends and a basic knowledge of marketing frameworks
  • Strong Leadership Skills highly proactive, creatively inclined, self-starter, great motivation, open to change and out of the box/creative thinking
