Job Description

The client is a world-renowned electronics manufacturing company headquartered in Taiwan, recognized as one of the largest technology solution providers globally. They are expanding their R&D presence in Singapore. The below position is open urgently.





Position:

Simulation Engineer (CFD & Thermal Analysis)

Working Hour: Mon to Fri, 9am to 6pm

Responsibilities:

1. Performing computer simulations-based analysis using commercial CFD software and other similar analysis tools


2. Develop and customize CFD models to support the optimization of AM processes and new machine designs.


3. Refine simulation models to imporove accuracy of predictions such as refining model inputs, grid sensitivity studies, exploring efficacy of different solvers, etc.


4. Participating in technical proble-solving activities with the global team for issues in product development, process development, failure analysis and proof-of-concepts.


5. Supporting engineering improvements to real manufacturing process and new product launches

Research & Innovation:

a. Author internal technical reports, white papers or patent proposals on simulation approaches / R&D inventions.


b. Evaluate and develop new 3DP simulation platforms (either commercial or opensourced).


7. Overseas technical support for short term assignments on related projects

Key Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in

Mechanical Engineering

,

Computational Physics

,

Materials Science

, or a related discipline. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in heat transfer or fluid dynamics simulation preferred. Proficiency in one or more of the following tools and programming languages:

CFD Tools:

ANSYS Fluent, Flow3D, OpenFOAM

Material Modeling:

ThermoCalc, JMatPro

CAD & Meshing:

SolidWorks, SpaceClaim


-

Programming:

Python, MATLAB, UDF development


Familiarity with product design or manufacturing process development will be an advantage.
