The Site Consultancy Services Specialist for the Materials and Structural Analysis Division (MSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible to work closely with the Field Service Manager (FSM) and Field Service Engineer (FSE) and especially with the customer with the goal of delivering the Site Preparation Packages Consultancy Services. The purpose is to help the customers achieve site success which means that the site is ready for the system install and free from environmental disturbances. The Site Consultancy Services Specialist will play a critical role in developing relationships with key third party suppliers to support future growth of the SCS business. This will include expertise in building trades like HVAC, MEP along with the ability to review construction drawings to be able to provide needed feedback the ThermoFisher Scientific customers. Responsibilities:

• Manage the Asia Pacific region Site Preparation Consultancy Projects from the beginning to finish by making sure that all the requirements are met and customer signoff is acquired.
• Cultivate positive relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service.
• Work closely with the Subject Matter Experts, Field Service Engineers, and Field Service Managers to provide the customer all the information they need to achieve site readiness success.
• Work towards growing the Site Consultancy Services business
• Support the Field Service Operations team as a resource for the customers’ site related questions and concerns.
• Coordinate interdepartmental resources ensuring completion of the program, regional alignment, and implementation.
• Applying PPI Business system, A3 Thinking, 5 Whys and GEMBA to support the regional field service organization.
• Up to 60% travel required

Minimum Qualifications: This position is ideal for an experienced engineer/project manager looking for an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in an environment where they will apply their kills to a variety of customer application areas, site challenges & issues. Education:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or an equivalent combined with a minimum of 5 years’ experience with TEM’s and/or SEM’s troubleshooting and installations is preferred.

Experience:

• Experience with multidisciplinary and multicultural project management.
• At least 3 years’ experience performing site surveys and site monitoring for SEM’s and TEM’s.
• 3 years’ experience in advanced site/system troubleshooting. This will include identifying problem frequencies, locating the sources and providing mitigation techniques or options.
• At least 5 years’ experience in performing site surveys and site monitoring for SEM’s and TEM’s.

Skills, Competencies & Knowledge:

• Strong technical report writing skills.
• A solid understanding of how Vibration, Acoustics, EMI and other environmental factors impact SEM/TEM system performance.
• A working knowledge of the most common sources of environmental factors and be able to make mitigation recommendations.
• Strong data analysis skills
• Experience with multidisciplinary and multicultural project management.
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
