Site coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities at sites, ensures that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with the plans and specifications. They coordinate with various parties, including contractors, sub-contractors, engineers and architects to ensure the smooth running of the project. The site coordinator is also responsible for maintaining safety standards and ensuring that workers on the site are working in a safe environment. The job duties of a site coordinator include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinating with the project manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Scheduling and overseeing the work of contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
- Monitoring the quality of work and ensuring that it meets the plans and specifications.
- Maintaining accurate records of work done, testing report, and progress made on the project.
- Ensuring that all workers on the site are adhering to safety guidelines and taking appropriate measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Communicating with clients and regulatory agencies to ensure that the project complies with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinating with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that the project meets all technical requirements.
- Managing change orders and ensuring that they are processed in a timely and efficient manner.
- A Diploma/ITE in engineering or a related field.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Experience in managing budgets and schedules.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Class 3 driving licence
