Responsibilities:

• Involve in Project to ensure smooth flow of project materials by coordinating with individual disciplines /trades in supporting construction department
• Familiar with project material specifications / requirements such as approved vendor list and ensure all information is aligned.
• Maintain the proper process flow via coordination between contractors and departments and vendors to ensure on-time supply for all the material requisitions during construction and handing over.
• Generate, review and monitoring on project material status reports. Attend production progress meeting and identify spares that potentially impact the schedule / work stoppage/ disruption to production schedules.
• Familiar in using SAP or equivalent ERP system for material management.
• Manage information relevant to arrival of materials at site and their availability.
• Manage the receiving check , recording and traceability of material certificates. .
• Ensure appropriate approval from management prior to spares procurement for construction if any.
• Prepare material status report and update periodically.
• Expediting and clearing outstanding material demands. Liaise with procurement and production/ for resolution of long lead-time material demands.
• Supporting all construction requests on material support & other reports.
• Promote safe working practices and demonstrate safety commitment.
• All other tasks as reasonably requested by management
• 5 working days with additional on Saturday if scheduled to support during high workload period.

• Diploma in Civil Engineering/Mechanical Engineer/Supply Chain/Logistics management or equivalent
• Non Diploma holders with experience in material control and logistics supply chain management
• 3 years working experience as draft man and/or material controller in a civil construction company/work site
• Varied and detailed work experience in the construction industry which would allow understanding of and exposure to key material control and logistics concepts and principles
• Able to read ISO metric drawings, construction drawings to do material take off
• Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of tool
