What the role is:The Resilience and Engagement Division (RED) helps build a strong society by strengthening social capital, and inspiring and empowering individuals to contribute to the common good. We do this through three pillars of work: fostering a strong and inclusive sense of national identity; nurturing an active citizenry, and developing the public service\'s capabilities to engage and partner citizens. You will be part of the SG Cares Office\'s Strategic Development team that develops and drives partnerships to promote and strengthen volunteerism and philanthropy in Singapore. Specifically, our team grows locale-based volunteerism by working with various partners such as our SG Cares Volunteer Centres (VCs) in each town to build strong and vibrant SG Cares Community Networks. These Community Networks comprise local offices of government agencies, grassroots organisations, social service agencies, corporates, schools, religious organisations and other local community stakeholders within each town in Singapore. We also identify and work with partners to strengthen skills-based volunteerism and to drive volunteerism and philanthropy amongst target segments such as corporates, seniors and youths.What you will be working on:Your responsibilities include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Conceptualising ways to grow volunteerism and sense of care especially at the town level, by synthesising trend data, local data and stakeholder feedback. This involves working closely with MCCY\'s appointed SG Cares Volunteer Centres to build a strong and stable SG Cares Volunteer Centre eco-system. \xe2\x80\xa2 Developing medium-term strategies and plans to grow town-based volunteerism and working with key internal and external stakeholders to develop and pilot programmes and initiatives that can be replicated across different towns. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identifying and working with strategic partners who can help grow the volunteerism and philanthropy ecosystem.What we are looking for:Work Experience and Knowledge \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 2 -3 years of relevant work experience in partnership engagement and community project implementation. Strategic planning experience will be an advantage. Competencies Have demonstrated the following competencies: (i) Deep Critical Thinking: \xe2\x80\xa2 Distil critical issues and sense-make from a wide range of information, arriving at effective solutions. (ii) Data-Driven Analysis: \xe2\x80\xa2 Utilise data analytics directly or indirectly to support analysis and simulate the impact of different options. \xe2\x80\xa2 Translate findings into actionable insights that advance policy analysis and solutioning. (iii) Stakeholder Engagement, Including Internal Stakeholders: \xe2\x80\xa2 Identity and prioritise stakeholders based on issue or domain area. \xe2\x80\xa2 Build and sustain relationships with stakeholders across organisational and sectoral boundaries. (iv) Other Competencies: \xe2\x80\xa2 Good writing and presentation skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to toggle between taking a systems perspective and local perspective.
