Actively participate in the vendor selection process in collaboration with the sourcing and merchant teams and other cross-functional partners
Ensure vendors act in accordance with the company's Supplier Code of Conduct including compliance with all applicable national and local legal standards and regulations and labor laws as well as adherence to the human rights, ethical behavior and environment requirements of this code
Support planning, coordination and monitoring of social audit execution in collaboration with third parties
Perform social compliance audits based on the company's protocol on an occasional and as needed basis
Review third party social audit reports and escalate possible noncompliance findings
Escalate noncompliance issues to sourcing and merchant teams and work in collaboration with the team to ensure corrective action plans are developed and executed
In collaboration with the Social Compliance team, maintain social compliance records including corrective action plans and audit schedules
Actively participate in the execution of related programs decided by the company Sourcing governance committee
Job Requirements:
Degree holder highly preferred
Internationally recognized auditor training / certification preferred
Minimum 3 years in related field
Auditor in a similar organization
Familiar with International social compliance programs and audit protocols (ICTI, BSCI, SA8000, WRAP, SEDEX).
Experience in a sizeable sourcing/buying office, preferably for a US retailer
In depth understanding of social compliance challenges across different Asian countries, including China, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc.
Experience working with a variety of cross-functional partners including quality and regulatory teams
Experience working in a matrix reporting structure preferred
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Broad understanding of manufacturing technologies and processes Positive, high energy individual, who thrives on building new processes and influencing others
Proven ability to independently problem solve and analyze and assess issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with third party organizations
Strong project management, organizational and presentation skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Open minded
Team player with leadership skills
Ability to work and grow in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment is very important
