Job Description

Put your social impact and partnership expertise to use to increase children\'s opportunities to play and learn through impactful programming, while inspiring them on topics such as the climate, diversity and inclusion in APAC markets!

Core Responsibilities

1. Drive the LEGO Group\'s social impact and local community engagement activities in key markets in the APAC region, including Singapore and India:

  • Translate the 2025 Social Impact and Partnership Global strategy and APAC roadmap into an operational plan for 6-8 APAC countries in close consultation with community engagement contacts, other key internal partners and the LEGO Foundation.
  • Foster new partnerships and coordinate with existing partners to design and implement social impact projects to enable more opportunities for learning through play and deliver meaningful impact to more children. This could include identifying and developing multi-country partnerships.
  • Partner with local community engagement contacts across APAC in their social impact initiatives and provide key support to maximise learning through play opportunities, strengthen operational and administrative processes and ensure alignment with agreed objectives.
2. Inspire and mobilise colleagues to be play advocates by leading the execution of Play Day and coordinate the conduct of internal Play workshops to driving volunteering in Singapore:
  • Project manage the organization of Play Day and facilitate decision-making on event management, content creation and activity facilitation, while adhering to legal, media, health & safety guidelines.
  • Ensure administration and logistical tasks related to Play Day, including budget management, event promotion through various communications channels and post-event evaluation.
  • Inspire and equip colleagues through Play-related workshops and facilitate knowledge-sharing for interested teams.
  • Recruitment, management and preparation of volunteers for community activities, including drafting of volunteer briefs and conducting briefings as well as follow-up to evaluate.
3. Provide administrative and logistical support in support of APAC Senior Manager.
  • Provide support when needed to lead programmes, including budgets, and ensure data, reports, results and materials are correctly recorded and accessible in the right systems.
  • Support reporting and filing of supporting documentation.

This will be a critical role in helping the Social Responsibility team amplify our Community Engagement programmes and rolling out global programmes and initiatives in selected APAC markets. You will be working closely with community engagement colleagues at other sites, the Social Impact and Partnership global programme team as well as other entities in the LEGO Group. We aim to increase our impact with more children, and engage more employees while keeping an eye on creating shared value with other parts of the business.

Overall, this role is vital in connecting employees to the LEGO\xc2\xae Idea and our core mission - inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow - and to deliver our vision of becoming a global force for learning through play. Children in local communities around the world have a right to play and learn.

Do you have with it takes?
  • Previous experience working on Social Impact Programming for a large corporation, Civil Society Organisation or International Organisation.
  • Track record in developing, implementing, evaluating and reporting on programmes that deliver impact to communities, preferably children, including developing and running partnerships and budgets.
  • Experience in leading and running multiple projects involving senior management and navigate complexities across varying contexts and cultures relevant to APAC market.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set the agenda, coordinate multiple work streams and deliver agreed outcomes in timely manner.
  • Good commercial understanding with an ability to position social impact initiatives within the broader corporate priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including drafting programme proposal, or equivalent internal documents.
  • Strong interest in engaging with children and colleagues, and believe in the importance of learning through play.
  • Passionate about social impact and community engagement work.
  • Has a playful disposition, eager to learn, passion to inspire and thrives in a team!
