Social Worker Our client, Ang Mo Kio Family Service Centre is a leading community-based social service agency, which provides a holistic range of services to support children, youths, families and seniors at multiple touchpoints across Singapore. AMKFSC seeks talented individuals passionate to enable change in the lives of our beneficiaries, and to create possibilities to improve the lives of individuals, families and communities within the ecosystem of our services. As a Social Worker within the Family Service Centre (FSC), you may be deployed across any of our 4 FSCs based in the Ang Mo Kio, Sengkang and Punggol regions.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct triage and intake services for members of the community
• Provide casework and counselling interventions for individuals and families
• Plan and conduct group work to support the needs of beneficiaries
• Engage in community work to build an ecosystem of assets and resources
• Engagement and advocate with systems and stakeholders in the community
• Strategise and coordinate interventions to support beneficiaries
• Assist with company projects or report submissions, as assigned by supervisor
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by HOD/supervisor
• Perform other duties assigned

• Bachelor / Postgraduate Diploma / Master in Social Work
• No prior work experience required for new entrants to social work.
• Competencies in Casework, counselling, risk and crisis management, group work facilitation
• Competencies in working with various formal systems and conduct case conferences
• Good analytical skills
• Passion to work with children, youths and their families
• Good Interpersonal skills and able to work with diverse population
• Strong Communication and with good written and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the Code of Social Work Practice standards.
• Alignment to AMKFSCs values of Accountability, Mastery, Kindred Spirit, Fortitude, Sparkle and Care
• Demonstrate sound and updated professional knowledge and skills in social work
• Relevant experience in working with individuals and families will be an advantage
