About the Role
As a Software Asset and License Management Specialist, you will be part of the Enterprise software sourcing team where you will report to the Software Asset and License Manager.
The objective of the position is to support and operate a software policy/tool, as well as a software asset and license management service, across Telenor to drive compliance, leverage purchasing power and optimise software utilisation.
The role holder will support and execute software license and optimisation strategies in cooperation with the relevant Category Manager(s).
You will provide analysis, reporting, and consultation to the SLM manager, focusing on all processes associated with the entire lifecycle of software license management from initial purchase to proper retirement of the licenses.
Main tasks
Execute software asset management policies and tools across Telenor
Interpret and maintain an accurate inventory of software contracts, entitlements and inventory information associated with the software assets
Keep track of the license inventory and entitlements, facilitate software license optimization activities, handle license assignments, collect and report license usage in the form of true-ups and true downs, reconciliation of license use, update SharePoint sites etc.
Perform registration, review, classification, validation of purchase orders and purchase requests while following up with the accounting and finance teams across the BUs and TPC
Analyse and report on software license spend, savings, utilisation
Automate daily tasks and improve way of work
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for software licensing/metrics and tool operations
Contribute to the de Foresee business risks related to role, highlighting to leadership and work towards mitigating risks in best manner development of our group wide software asset management capabilities

Profile
The successful candidates should have background and interest in working with technology, software management and licensing models. It is an advantage to have experience dealing with major software vendors; and the ability to perform data analysis working across multiple application and database systems.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
University degree preferably within science, finance, engineering, or technology.
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in technology and/or procurement domain preferred
ITIL and/or SAM certifications preferred
