About the role

We're looking for a

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

who loves breaking things the right way. You'll build and run automated tests for web & APIs, wire them into CI/CD, and use

AI tools

to accelerate test design, data generation, debugging, and documentation.

What you'll do

Design, implement, and maintain automated tests across the

test pyramid

(unit API UI E2E). Collaborate with developers to define acceptance criteria and

shift-left

quality. Use

AI assistants

(e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to: draft tests and edge-case lists, generate synthetic test data & mocks, triage flaky tests and suggest fixes, create concise defect repro steps and docs. Build resilient test suites with clear assertions, test IDs, and stable selectors. Integrate tests into CI/CD (parallelism, retries, artifacts, dashboards). Own regression runs, analyze failures, and file high-quality bugs with evidence. Contribute to quality gates (coverage thresholds, lint/type checks, API contracts). Perform targeted

exploratory testing

for new features. Follow

AI usage guardrails

(no secrets in prompts, respect PII, store approved prompts in repo).

Qualifications

At least 5 to 7 years experience in QA/SDET or software development.
Programming fundamentals in

any modern language

(Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python preferred).

Hands-on with at least one automation framework:

Web/UI:

Playwright or Cypress (Selenium/WebDriver okay).

API:

REST Assured, SuperTest, or Postman/Newman.

Unit:

JUnit/TestNG, Jest/Mocha/Vitest, or PyTest.
Comfortable with Git and basic CI (GitHub Actions/Jenkins/GitLab CI).
Understanding of HTTP, JSON, and basic SQL.
Clear written communication--especially for defects and repro steps.
Curiosity to learn and use

AI tools

responsibly to speed up work.
