Our Cloud Services Group is teeming with passionate innovators like you who are rapidly designing, building, and deploying groundbreaking internal and public cloud platforms. You will be working in a highly focused product team where you will have the opportunity to develop cloud native products which will be used by software engineers across JP Morgan. You will be involved in all phases of product lifecycle while following product development best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • You will be developing new features, enhancing existing features, deploying and maintain cloud products.
  • You will be responsible for finding novel ways to enhance the resiliency and availability of cloud products.
  • You will contribute to making architecture decisions and make suggestions to improve the current architecture of cloud products and work to implement the suggested changes.
  • You will support the growth of other members in the team by sharing your knowledge.
  • You will be collaborating with a global team of software engineers to identity the current gaps in cloud products and recommend new features that provide value to the business.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience required.
  • Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages. Java, python, or go is preferred.
  • Experience to authentication and authorization protocols and solutions.
  • Experience architecting, developing, and delivering cloud native applications on platforms like Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes, Heroku, AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
  • Experience with agile and automated application deployment and management technologies: CI/CD.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Passionate about new technologies and building a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement.

Desired Skills:
  • Exposure to building frameworks and tooling for large scale engineering operations, resiliency patterns like circuit breakers, bulkheads, backpressure, etc.
  • Exposure to effective operational patterns like SLOs, metrics, health checks, error budgets, distributed tracing, etc.
  • Exposure to Infrastructure as code tools such as Hashicorp Terraform.
  • Proficiency in building/managing large scale infrastructure deployments (E.g. routers, load balancers, cloud products, container systems, compute, storage and networks)
  • Exposure to Database and messaging technologies such as MySQL, Cassandra, Kafka, CockroachDB or Oracle.
