Opportunity

The Enterprise IT Programme Centre is looking for software engineers to deliver MINDEF/SAF digitalisation initiatives. You will be part of our engineering teams harnessing digital technologies and driving meaningful initiatives to transform MINDEF/SAF business processes and digital experience.

This role will require you to:

• Adopt design thinking and user-centric approach to work with business stakeholders and ground users to elicit latent needs and business requirements.
• Conduct market research, identify and propose technical solutions and perform trade-off analysis.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure technical solutions adhere to standards, personal data and security policies
• Work with vendor and ICT service providers in systems development, enhancement and maintenance
• Perform user acceptance and usability tests
• Gather user feedback, identify and plan for continuous improvements for IT solutions
• Ensure that systems implemented comply with organization's governance and compliance policies and procedures such as IT management, quality management and IT security.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields
• 3 years or more experience in designing, development and supporting web and mobile experience for IT solutions. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply too.
• Experience in web applications, cybersecurity, open source technologies, CI/CD, cloud technologies.
• Possess strong understanding of software life cycle models as well as in-depth knowledge of agile or traditional project management principles and practices.
• Familiar with design and architecture patterns and application security standards
