Software/System Engineer, Integrated Digital Product Centre

The Integrated Digital Product Centre translates research outcomes by co-creating with the industry products and solutions that leverage A*STAR digital technologies for commercial applications, economic development, and public benefit.

The software/system engineer develops in-house R&D prototypes into commercial products and integrate with commercial system.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high quality, secure, and scalable digital products using A*STAR technologies based on intended commercial use cases.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using agile methodology to achieve product goals and deliverables efficiently and effectively.
Build products using development and operation framework (DevOps), including version control, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
Define and develop user interfaces/experience, APIs, and backend modules.
Facilitate software quality test and control to ensure that digital products are thoroughly tested and meet the requirement for commercial deployment.
Produce and maintain functional and technical documents to effectively communicate system details to stakeholders.

Requirements:
Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of recent experience in the ICT industry as a software or system engineer, as part of a product development team.
Strong in software programming (e.g. Java, C#, C++).
Experience with web application, using ReactJS, JavaScript, HTML5/CSS.
Experience and/or certifications in industry best practices such as Agile and DevOps methodologies, microservices as well as software development on major commercial cloud platforms (e.g. Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with backend/server development and database.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Dynamic, agile, and adaptable to new tasks or roles as and when required.
