Standard Chartered nexus is looking for a Solution Architect who will design and deliver a new banking platform (greenfield project) from scratch.

What will you be doing:

You will work closely with the Lead architect and Chief Technology Officer to manage all solution designs. You will be given business requirements or technical challenges, from there you will need to clarify the problem statements and come up with options and rationales on the recommended option. You will:

• Be accountable for the solution designs (UML)
• Interface with bank governance, core systems, and security teams
• Manage architecture as code
• Run architecture and design reviews
• Work in a highly collaborative, fun loving team using Agile methodology

What do you need to be successful in this role?

• 8+ years of experience in Solution Architecture role in relevant space
• Complete Knowledge of UML and other modelling languages
• Knowledge of retail banking
• 2+ years Java server-side development experience with understanding of core design patterns
• Experience in microservices style architecture, design and development
• Experience in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Knowledge of mobile and web development
• Knowledge of GIT, branching strategies, build and deployment pipelines, DevSecOps
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker
• Knowledge of API gateways
• Knowledge of OAuth and OIDC
• Cloud knowledge a big plus (AWS/GCP/terraform)
• Be nice, respectful, able to work in a team
