Job Description


Purpose of the job Reporting to the Professional Services and Service Delivery Manager, this is a crucial role in generating success in the implementation of Collinson Loyalty Technology solutions and services into Financial Services and Travel verticals. The role of the Solution Architect will support the client teams with enhancement or change of existing solution deployments, and where new solutions are needed, to bridge between business teams and the technology teams to:

  • Identify the best solution to meet the clients’ requirements
  • Provide and own end-to-end solution and cost for projects and product.
  • Lead project team(s) with technical guidance that is in line with Product Architecture and meet client
requirements.
  • Act as the interface between Project Management, Technical teams, Client Services and the Client.
  • Deliver high quality and on-time project delivery within budget.
  • Contribute to the Product design and roadmap

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large and medium size delivery independently without supervision
  • Work with PM, BA and client in mapping functional and non-functional requirements and provide the feasible solution for project customizations
  • Prepare and own technical documentation such as architecture, design, integration flow etc
  • Impact analysis and estimation of new requirements
  • Ensure Dev and QA teams delivery meets all functional and non-functional requirement
  • Be a technical lead and expert on technologies used in the solution
  • Identify and plan for security and performance testing to meet agreed standards and benchmarks.
  • Support L1/L2/L3 teams in solving technical and design related problems
  • Guide other Technical Architects in the team when assigned
  • Describe the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of solution to project
stakeholders
  • Engage and brief commercial teams to ensure alignment to budgets
  • Support project implementation teams, and at times lead technical resolution of issues, manage
changes to scope and the consequent impact to the solution design
  • Understand the latest product roadmaps and the usage scenarios, features and functions within
each of the solutions so that they can be applied to address specific business and technical needs
  • Open to travel for customer on-site consulting and support
  • To develop a deep understanding of the Collinson Group solutions to be able to provide,
demonstrate functionality to clients and account teams
  • Stay abreast of industry standards & innovations to define how Collinson and its customers can
benefit from new technologies & best practices

Knowledge, skills and experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of Technical or Solution Architect with total 10+ years of IT experience
  • Expertise in various Architecture framework and design principles
  • Experience in designing and implementing highly secured and high-performance systems.
  • Strong experience with API first (REST/JSON) and micro-service design
  • Hands-on experience across the spectrum of Web and server-side technologies mainly JEE, JSP,
Struts, Hibernate, JavaScript, Node JS, Kafka, AngularJS, ReactJS, Foundation, HTML5 and jQuery
  • Strong knowledge on Oracle database, PL/SQL, data modelling and performance tuning is desirable
  • Ability, flexibility and eagerness to work in a fast-paced environment and concurrently manage
multiple projects and teams
  • Ability to manage work with diverse team in local and remote location
  • Knowledge of load balancing, clustering and monitoring tools and services
  • Experience in both waterfall and agile methodology
  • Experience with Cloud, DevOps, CI/CD and automation is a plus point
  • Experience in Loyalty, retail payment industry, financial services or travel verticals is good to have
  • Experience in mobile app development using hybrid framework is good to have

Personal Specification The role requires a person who is
  • Experienced, result driven IT professional with strong technical delivery background
  • Highly collaborative and strong in interpersonal, communication (written and verbal English),
presentation and problem-solving skills is a must
  • Able to negotiate, influence and drive people to make right decision
  • A strong technologist and a fast learner of new technologies to run POCs and provide recommendations
  • Able to handle pressure and challenging deadlines with multiple stakeholders and opinions
  • Able to lead multiple projects with different demands
  • Able to work across a global group in a highly dynamic matrix organisation
  • Bachelor’s Degree of Applied Science in Computer Technology, Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent is preferred
