About Swiss Re Solutions

\'Solutions\' is a central pillar of the reinsurance strategy, critical both to the development of the core reinsurance activities as well as for developing new revenue streams for Swiss Re. There is an opportunity to leverage the risk knowledge and capital of Swiss Re to create new shareholder value for Swiss Re through Solutions, which ultimately should lead to a valuation uplift.

Solutions are services and platforms delivered to clients that lead to new, more or better business profit generation for Swiss Re that would not happen through our traditional Reinsurance business. Key to the success of this business is our ability to serve/harvest existing clients and win new clients with a scope that extends beyond Swiss Re\'s traditional reinsurance clients to cover the full scope of all insurance companies and non-insurance partners in adjacent sectors where our risk knowledge can add value.

Solutions help Swiss Re\'s insurance clients to improve their own portfolio and enable growth. Examples of existing solutions include:

  • Swiss Re\'s automated underwriting platform Magnum
  • New automated tools and platforms to support the assessment or risks and manage claims
  • Strategic portfolio insights based on data analytics
About the Role
  • Responsibility for distribution of L&H Solutions and executing our go to market strategy
  • Deliver on fee-based income targets as per the annual 3-year rolling business plan
  • Develop and implement the origination strategy for specific Solutions Products to ensure successful execution of our business plans
  • Manage a structured pipeline of opportunities across the market from planning to onboarding and execution
  • Support cross functional deal teams to successfully execute sales opportunities in our pipeline
  • Support client engagement on sales opportunities including developing and delivering World Class pitch materials, developing, communicating, and negotiating commercial terms and pro-actively managing sales obstacles
  • Ensure we apply Sales discipline to all pipeline opportunities delivering on relevant KPI\'s and we adhere to all distribution compliance and governance requirements
  • Work with marketing and Solutions Product Development colleagues to develop and execute Marketing strategies to promote out Solutions and improve Client outreach and engagement
  • Conduct Market research and client engagement to better understand our competitive position and make specific recommendations to maximise the competitiveness of our proposition
  • Provide input on client needs and recommend Product improvements with maximum commercial up-side for our Product roadmaps
  • Build new client and non-insurance segment relationships to expand the reach of the Swiss Re Solutions franchise
  • Ensure a collaborative One-Swiss Re approach across the reinsurance client base
  • Connect pro-actively with Swiss Re\'s existing teams, infrastructure, systems and processes
  • Foster a collaborative working relationship across all functions and relevant regional and global teams
About the Team

The team is made up of 8 Sales professionals focused on our existing L&H Solutions strategy and solutions product suite. Our role is to deliver specific sales and revenue targets through the deployment of our Solutions either as part of our existing Reinsurance business or to new clients without an established Reinsurance relationship. You will be reporting to the Head of L&H Solutions Sales & Origination for Asia.

About You
  • 5 years relevant Sales and Origination experience in either financial, technology or professional services
  • Relevant experience and knowledge of L&H insurance technology and risk management landscape in Asia
  • Strong strategic or analytical thinking paired with business/commercial acumen focused on business results
  • Proven ability to deliver sales and revenue targets and demonstrate commercial hunger and sales drive
  • Solid understanding of sales and marketing propositions and go-to market strategies and frameworks
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and keep moving ahead despite uncertainty
  • Commercial account or market responsibility in B2B client service and/or Solutions technology or platform orientated business is a plus
  • Native or fluent English is a must, other Asian languages beneficial
  • Success in building and working in high performing teams and working in cross functional operating models
  • Strong collaboration and influencing skills, leveraging skills and networking internally and externally
