Sourcing Manager (Logistics & Freight)

Responsibilities:

• Management of the sourcing of Logistic Services (Warehouse & Transport services & Freight Forwarding) & Ocean/Airfreight for the APME Region, American zone or any other ports as requested by Business
• Product: Lubricants, Specialties, Additives, Packaging Materials and etc for Ocean/Airfreight
• Regional Scope:

• Within the APME Zone
• Into the APME Zone (e.g., from Europe EOLE)
• Exports in all Zones from Singapore (Including AME)
• Support TGP Global Tender Process for Logistics Services & Ocean Freight for the APME Region (Ocean Freight and ISOTANL/Flexibag Tender under TGP Responsibility
• Negotiate and Manage Logistics Services Contracts for Warehouse & Transport service & Freight Forwarding
• Support business development for new Freight Lanes Tenders by sourcing for competitive Freight Rates
• Market Intelligence for Logistics Services & Ocean/Air-Freight Market with a Focus on APME Destinations
• Provide the Customer Service & Logistics team with the booking information on the Logistics Service & Ocean/Airfreight for their operational execution
• Develop and Review Special Logistical Solution for niche lanes, example Mining Clients
• Support in Commercial Feedback Handling with Logistics Service & Ocean/Air-Freight issues (Customers or Internal)
• Review and Define Shot, Medium, and Long-Term Procurement Strategy for Logistic Services & Ocean/Airfreight (Including the TGP Tender Results, needs from the Affiliates & Commercial) which include Business Continuity Strategies
• Regular Report and Data Analysis of the Logistics Service & Ocean/Airfreight (not limiting to comparison of GFT, Sport and As Is Freight) using visual Dashboard
• Support with Digital Solution for Logistics Service Solutions for Warehouse & Transport service & Freight Forwarding
• Publish Monthly Logistics Service & Ocean/Air-Freight Report to Affiliates and Businesses
• Analyze Pricing Models for Ocean/Airfreight for Shippers and Clients (\xe2\x80\x9cBack-to-Back\xe2\x80\x9d Models) / Indexes / Market Reports
• Support with the Implementation of Tools for the Purchase of Logistics Services & Ocean/Airfreight
• Coordinate Contractual and Commercial terms with Central Functions like Finance, Legal, Purchasing, TGP & Compliance
• Conduct periodic vendor assessments on their performances, cost, and services to ensure the specific standards are maintained.

People Management

• Mentor and guide staff to fulfil their potential to achieve organizational objectives and fulfil personal development needs
• Identify learning and development opportunities to address skills needs
• Drive change management and communicate results

HSEQ

• Ensure compliance and audit support to Management System like ISO 9001/14001/45001 and IATF 16949.
• Assist to implement and drive HSE company programs

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or Business Administration
• At least 5-10 years of relevant experience in Procurement in Logistics or Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain environment
• Strong negotiation skills to secure best delivery, price, terms and conditions
• Knowledge in SAP and Procurement IT Tools (E-Sourcing Agora, EProc, etc)
• Knowledge in Contract Law especially related to shipping will be advantageous
• Working knowledge in Business/Systems Processes (including quality and safety systems)
