to join our team at a seaside bistro. You will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent food quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Head Chef in menu execution for local Chinese dishes (zichar-style, stir-fry, noodles, rice dishes, etc.)
Prepare, cook, and plate dishes according to standards
Supervise kitchen team during service when required
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety & cleanliness (SFA standards)
Monitor inventory, assist with ordering and stock rotation
Ensure kitchen equipment is well maintained
Support in menu development, specials, and new dishes
Work closely with team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
Handle prep work efficiently (marination, sauces, cutting, mise en place)
Any other kitchen duties as assigned
Job Requirements:

Experience in
Chinese / local cuisine
is
a must
Able to handle
wok, stir-fry, steaming, and basic prep
Minimum
2-3 years
of relevant experience
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
Good teamwork, communication, and leadership attitude
Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene
Positive working attitude, responsible and reliable
Willing to work on weekends / public holidays (as per F&B norms)
