JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the team, you will be working closely with and reporting to the Head Chef. The incumbent will be responsible for producing quality food according to menu specifications and oversee all aspects of the kitchen in the Head Chef\xe2\x80\x99s absence. You will also motivate the kitchen staff to achieve targets and maintain high standards. You are creative and enthusiastic about good food and its presentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage the day-to day activities and take responsibility for the management and supervision of Kitchen Team during any Head Chef absence
Inspect all incoming products ensuring all quality standard set by the Head Chef are met
Ensure the efficient and smooth running of the kitchen
Promote and maintain good working relationships throughout team
Ensure an effective stock rotation procedure
Take action to minimize wastage at all stages of food production through controls, keeping records and making reports as required.

Ensure that details of all orders are recorded according to set procedures, ensuring that the relevant paperwork is received and processed
Ensure all foods in fridge and freezer are stored as per health department regulations
Assist in the Responsibilities of ordering
Ensure that high levels of customer service are maintained at all times
Ensure that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 2-4 years of proven experience in a related role
Proven ability in kitchen management
Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Up to date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
Possess good learning attitude and able to work in a team
Educational qualifications from a recognized culinary institution is preferred
Certified in Food Handling
Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, grooming and attitude towards associates, guests/customers, suppliers and other clients
Able to work on weekends or/& PH (on a rotational basis
