About the role

The Pacific Global Metal Management, Customer Service and S&OP team manages the planning, delivery, collection and reporting process for the primary aluminium production of our five aluminium smelters in Australia, New Zealand and Oman.

We are looking for a Specialist, Sales & Operations Planning (Pacific) to join our team to support the optimization of the supply and demand of this aluminium smelter portfolio, overseeing a combined production rate of 1.3 million tonnes per annum.

This role is an exciting opportunity for someone able to manage high complexity in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and products for value-based decisions over the strategic (4-12 months) and execution (0-3 months) ranges.

Based in the Commercial hub office in Singapore, this is a vital support function across our commercial and operational teams, requiring a strong level of communication with key stakeholders including, but not limited to the Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, and our Casthouse operations teams.

Reporting to the Manager, Sales & Operational Planning Pacific, your core role responsibilities will be:
  • Provide the key interface between our Commercial and Operations teams, for both the strategic and tactical supply chain planning horizons.
  • Determining and optimising the consolidated view for the demand and capacity plans of our production, providing the strategic fact base and presenting insight and recommendations in our monthly S&OP cycle.
  • Identifying optimisation and value creation opportunities for the system, determining the business justification through benefit and options analysis and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Leading our weekly execution drumbeat with our supply chain stakeholders for managing the delivery of the plan (the \xe2\x80\x98make\xe2\x80\x99 and the \xe2\x80\x98move\xe2\x80\x99), managing deviation as required.
  • Owning inventory management and forecasting in execution and strategic horizons, contributing towards team and business targets of working capital reduction and managing deviation from the plan.
  • Be a change agent for the continuous improvement of our planning and execution processes, data visualisations, and digital capability.
About You

You will need to be a self-starter with demonstrated ability to engage and build effective relationships across a supply chain, a passion for achieving goals together, and a strong sense for data-driven decision making and continuous process improvement.

What you\xe2\x80\x99ll bring
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, finance, engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in supply chain scheduling, logistics and/or inventory management.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience preparing and presenting throughout the S&OP cycle for demand and supply planning
  • Ability to analyse data, build options and present recommendations based on financial valuations quickly and effectively.
  • Exposure and knowledge of the primary aluminium industry.
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset.
It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerBI skills
  • Exposure to SAP systems
