JOB TITLE: SPECIALIST, SITE COMMUNICATIONS, SEA/ANZ/JP/KR ORG UNIT NAME: CORPORATE AFFAIRS LOCATION: SINGAPORE
This role serves as Site Communications for 9 countries (primarily but not limited to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan & Korea) to drive the implementation of internal and external communications plans and country CSR programs to deliver the regional/global communications strategy and facilitate business priorities for the 9 countries as well as the ROA region initiatives when required through the seamless collaboration with the peers in the ROA Communications team, other functions & SBU's in the region and the global CoEs in Global Comm Function. This role is also responsible for all aspects of local crisis communications for 9 countries.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Lead, manage, plan, execute and advise site and/or country corporate function on all aspects of communications (internal communications, media relations, social media, CSR, stakeholder engagements). Creates and/or advises on communications content for team meetings, site events, public engagements. Site Communications may be multi-faceted to include corporate function support. Enhance relations between local communities and SABIC operational sites. Be the strategic communications focal point and advisor for leaders in the 9 countries, advocating best practice and engaging with them to develop communications plan for internal and external communications.
  • Collaborate with Regional Head and EHSS leads when necessary to plan and implement crisis communications within the region in collaboration with Regional Communications Leader and Corporate Communications CoE for Crisis Coms in HQ. Serve as team member for projects within the region which will require communication support, collaborating with global teams.
  • Align and closely collaborate with the Regional Media Lead and Digital Communications Lead to support the implementation of the ROA regional media and social media content strategy by identifying and implementing opportunities from the sites
  • Align and closely collaborate with the Regional Internal Comms Lead to support content development for the internal/employee communications in the local sites, ensuring the transparency of strategy communications, efficiency of SABIC culture building, and delivery of the importance announement etc in the sites.
  • Closely collaboration with the Events/Exhibitions & Protocol/CSR Lead to support event management and communication initiatives as needed when serving as a team member for projects which will require communications support, collaborating with global teams (such as but not limited to events involving EXCOM/large projects).
  • Drive alignment, implementation and consistency of the communications to the overall SABIC Brand strategy and act as an ambassador in Brand governance. Develop communications that are aligned with SABIC brand framework and guidelines, regional norms and legal standards, including messaging governance and design of all communications developed in support of business needs. Translating the brand drivers into booth/event elements, messaging and content to bring the brand to life and create the highest impact for SABIC.
  • Develop and track metrics to measure effectiveness and impact of communications activities for Site, CSR and Corporate Functions. Provide analysis, learnings and recommendations for improvement in post-project reports and monitor the impact to business goals and SABIC strategy.
  • Manage site communications-related budget as part of the regional aggregated budget and support planning for the region in collaboration with HQ global teams. Advise site and/or corporate function leadership in delivery of key corporate messages for team meetings, site events, public engagements. Site Communications may be multi-faceted to include corporate function support.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


  • Degree with specialization in marketing, communication, business development
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in corporate communications roles, preferably across multiple geographic regions and business models in complex matrix structures
  • Experience of B2B business, corporate functions, manufacturing and crisis comms experience
