The Opportunity - Permanent, Full Time Position

Join the Platforms - Cloud & Productivity team where you as the Specialist Technology Cloud & Productivity will assist to centralise our technical core systems and bring together the producers of technology with the consumers of technology in South32 by making services simple to access through automated and self-service products.

The responsibilities of the Platform Teams include analysis, design, development, deployment, monitoring, innovation, support, maintenance, optimisation, availability management, risk management, contract, and vendor management.

Reporting to the Manager Technology Cloud & Productivity, working closely with the other members of the Cloud & Productivity team and the broader Digital Technology team.

Key role accountabilities include:

  • Ensure alignment to and compliance with internal controls including South32 Values, Standards, Policies, agreements, systems, and procedures
  • Managing the provision of technology-based services to meet defined organisational needs and business plans
  • Develop and establish governance, practices, and processes for Cloud & Productivity services
  • Manage the deployment, configuration and operation of Enterprise Applications, Software Asset Management, Office365, Identity and Access Management, and Network Directory
  • Adhere to the Technology processes and procedures specifically the customer engagement, change and communication plans and strategies
  • Manage and monitor activities including incidents, requests and escalations
  • Ensure ongoing feedback and engagement with the Operational and Platforms Technology Leads in relation to stakeholder requirements, expectations, and satisfaction
  • Monitor the performance of the Cloud & Productivity Platform and work with the suppliers to identify and close gaps / issues
  • Maintain a strong awareness of business processes that the Cloud & Productivity Platform supports and seek to continuously improve to the processes while minimising disruption
  • Plan, identify, control, account for and auditing of Cloud & Productivity configuration items (CIs) and their interrelationships
  • Plan, implement, and optimise technologies and processes used for data storage, backup, and restore, ensuring that services deliver agreed levels of availability to meet the current and future needs of the business
  • Contribute to the fostering of a continuous improvement culture to ensure ongoing enhancement and optimisation of platform capabilities and technical skills
  • Contribute to the vision and strategy for the Cloud & Productivity Platform delivery model
  • Contribute to the development of the Cloud & Productivity Platform Roadmap
  • Assist and contribute to the Cloud & Productivity Platform plans including maintenance, improvement, and sourcing
  • Identify and share the value drivers for the Cloud & Productivity Platform across the organisation
  • Be adaptable to change of the business and Technology strategies through the Cloud & Productivity Platform practices and services
About You

You will be required to have the following:
  • Minimum 2years' working experience in enterprise platforms on global scale
  • Deep technical skills and knowledge of infrastructure, digital and application management practices
  • Demonstrated understanding of the technical systems and how to manage the systems that are required for infrastructure, digital and application services
  • Experience with working alongside architects understanding architecture patterns, security assessments, access management for platforms
  • Experience in managing Enterprise Applications, Software Asset Management, Office365, Identity and Access Management, and Network Directory
  • Strong technical skills in infrastructure, cloud, and applications
  • High level understanding of best practices in concepts such as architecture security principles
  • Knowledge and understanding of Digital technologies and mining operations or business processes
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to strike a balance between customer needs and technical capability
  • Experience in contract and vendor management processes and practice
Qualifications
  • Degree/ BTECH/National Diploma (3 years) Computer Science or Information Systems, OR Relevant digital / applications / technology certifications.

Location

This role can be based at our corporate office in the heart of Perth CBD or in South32 Global Marketing Hub is in Singapore, a vibrant, multicultural city Singapore - negotiable for the successful candidate
