About the role
We are looking for a Specialist/Principal Business Support for the Office of Chief Commercial Officer.
The role reports to the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive and will work closely with the CCO and others to manage the Office of Chief Commercial Officer activities, specifics as follows:
Support the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive to manage the CCO office in conjunction with the CCO Executive Assistant.
Support in shaping and coordinating SLT meeting agendas to ensure a strategic focus and that business critical issues are addressed and effective processes are followed.
Under the guidance of the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive, interacts with key stakeholders to understand all the major aspects of strategic issues in order to conduct fact-based analyses and provide analysis to the CCO.
Assists in shaping and raising the external profile of the CCO by coordinating stakeholder strategy
Assists in the preparation of papers for Board meetings.
Develops appropriate presentation and communication materials on behalf of the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive and CCO .
Prepares and coordinates briefing notes for the CCO as required.
Prepares and assists the CCO in preparing regular reports.
Support the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive in coordinating with Company Secretary, Group Chief of Staff, Business Executives of Exco.
Facilitates communication flow of information amongst executive committee members to contribute to the effective running of the Senior Leadership team
Facilitates identification and management of key strategic and tactical metrics and levers to drive accountability and business performance.
Provides support to the Head of Commercial EA, Communications and Business Executive and Chief Commercial Officer on projects as required.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
At least 12 years of commercial experience, with demonstrated progression from back to front office experience
Proven abilities in navigating and operating successfully in a matrix organization, with stakeholders\xe2\x80\x99 engagement and business partnering skills being key requisites.
Has a track record of successful delivery in partnership with others, within their own team and in the wider business.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Knowledge of commodities\xe2\x80\x99 supply and demand across East Asia / ASEAN region, key markets for Rio Tinto commercial strategy
A team player, autonomous and self-driven
Determined problem solver with high level attention to details, strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Bachelor Degree
It will also be beneficial if you have:
Understanding of iron ore / aluminium / copper / minerals market
Working experience in Singapore or China / South Korea / Japan
Professional working knowledge of an East Asian language, due to business requirements (Mandarin Chinese / Korean / Japanese)
