Your Role as a Zenika Consultant - Splunk Development Engineer

As a Splunk Development Engineer with Zenika, you'll help our clients push the boundaries of automation, cloud, and analytics. You will:

Design and implement new use cases by researching log source products and engaging with stakeholders Update and optimize existing use cases to improve ingestion pipelines, SPL performance, and parsing logic Ingest and normalize new data using Splunk apps and integrations, ensuring accurate and reliable reporting Develop custom Splunk apps, scripts, and automation to streamline ingestion, transformation, and validation workflows Migrate legacy reports and automate dashboards Document processes and create knowledge transfer resources to support continuity, training, and operational excellence Support Splunk ops engineers by troubleshooting ingestion issues, missing data, or performance bottlenecks Collaborate across cloud and DevOps environments, leveraging tools like GitLab, AWS Lambda, and Azure Functions for scalable solutions

What You Bring

Proven expertise in Splunk architecture, features, and SPL Hands-on experience developing, optimizing, and scaling Splunk use cases Strong Python programming skills for automation and data workflows Familiarity with Git/GitLab branching workflows and CI/CD pipelines Understanding of IT infrastructure (OS, Databases, Network/Security devices) Cloud experience with AWS/Azure, including serverless compute (Lambda, Functions) Knowledge of SDLC best practices and Agile delivery Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to support production issues Bonus: Experience with Cribl for log onboarding and advanced parsing
