What You Will Do In Your Role

1. Provide coaching to Assistant Supervisor, Assistant Engineer, Specialist or Technician. Train them to develop continuous improvement of vision quality system to achieve agreed goal set. 2. Provide proper storage, control and maintenance of vision documents within the department to ensure security and efficient retrieval of documents as well as conformance to stipulated regulations. Such controls should include of maintaining a master listing for all controlled documents, maintaining a record of the distribution and retrieval histories of documents, proper disposal of obsolete documents and maintaining a record for controlled documents issued by centralized document control. 3. Proper documentation control of studies, vision SOP and training records. 4. To conduct training, if applicable, to employees within the department to ensure proper vision documentation and record control are practiced effectively within the department. 5. To represent the department in customer, 3rd party or internal audits that are related to vision documents. 6. Involves in task force or small group activities such as TOPS, QIS and GLSS team. Technical roles (80%) 7. Keep track of all project deadline and budgetary expenditure. 8. New products – responsible for working with Automation, Product Design Engineer, QA and Assembly Engineer, ensuring the release for manufacturing. Full Qualification must be done. 9. Embarks on productivity, quality, cost reduction program, machine and process improvement, as and when needed. 10. Support in duplication of existing machines/fixtures if there is requirement for capacity expansion.


11. Responsible for equipment transfer from other entities, or transfer to other entities in term of machine set up and smooth running of production with full qualification which relate to his task. 12. Coordinate with machine vendors for new machines in which involve robotics, control, software and vision programming 13. Understand the requirements & needs, innovate & map out complete software architecture, progressive development in stages ensure success. Considerations include wireless network, data acquisition, remote access & control, inventory tracking, and big data analysis. 14. Share relevant knowledge and new ideas to solve manufacturing problems or needs. Gather & share of best practices, lessons learned (success & failure), prevent re-inventing, and challenge existing. 15. Provide technical consultancy and support to Components Department on vision/scanner/X-ray inspection & technology. Participate in brainstorming to solve problems. 16. The Experience You Will Bring

Requirements

• 8 years working in software development, NI-LabView/C#/C++ programming, vision/scanner/X-ray system and control.
• 5 years working experience in vision camera, lens and lighting system.
