Description and Requirements


Functional Responsibilities
1. Conducts career counseling sessions to provide Team Members with a broader perspective of career development opportunities within the company; Highlights areas for professional growth of
team members.
2. Assists in the handling of team member grievances and cases by conducting in-house investigations in order to observe due process and security of tenure of each Team Member; Advises AGMs and other leaders to ensure knowledge and compliance of the implementing guidelines of the company policies and to adequately address not only labor-related HR issues in both corrective and preventive manner; Conducts administrative hearings and investigations within the program; Represents TIP during initial mandatory conciliation meetings and provides
settlement and Labor disputes before the Labor Arbiter in NLRC and conducts basic negotiations with team members who have filed for complaints.
3. Designs teambuilding programs and facilitates team development activities to requesting programs/departments to ensure that participants will be guided in achieving their goals for every team development activities and reflect on what transpired during the activity, highlighting the dynamics of the team.
4. Proactively engage with AGMs to effectively execute all TI and TIP HR policies and practices, including performance management, employee engagement, diversity efforts, recognition and
talent management. Tracks and processes contract documentation for employee related bonds (Training, travel and retention bonds); Supports various events (TIP and program-specific) by ensuring all policies are adhered to and are observed during these events.
5. Assists leaders in implementing team member related action plans on increasing engagement; Presents to program leaders results of annual Pulsecheck Action Plans; Consult with client group leaders around the development of Team leaders and critical talents.
6. Coordinates with Corporate communications teams in different communication initiatives including the distribution of Friday treats across the operating units; Prepares and utilizes a wide varierty of management reports (eg. attrition) to be able to provide AGMs a holistic view of the HR programs.
7. Coordinates and escalates to various HR functional teams for issues and concerns related to team members that will require immediate HR attention; Manages and tracks program related
mailing notices (RTW letters and other notices) to be sent to HRBP Coordinator for actual mailing.
8. Pre-screens and interviews potential applicants for the role of HR business partners.
9. Conducts HRBP learning sessions either through new leaders, within HRBP team, and through WTT & LEAD programs; Conducts HR for Non-HR to all new team leaders in the company;
Leads HR Business partners in site-wide initiatives on change management programs, program roll outs, new policy communication and implmentation of policies; Documents minutes supports action plans related to FGDs by leaders; Represents the HRBP manager in operations leadership, business reviews or other coordinative meetings that will require HRBP intervention;
Serves as thHRBP representative for emergency ad hoc committees, security meetings and other occupational safety teams.
10. Prepares and consolidates site-wide management reports related to HRBP fucntions; Takes the lead in at at least one site for committe work in TELUS Day Of Service(TDOS) events.

Under the management of the Senior HR Manager, this position is responsible in ensuring the conduct and implementation of legally acceptable Human Resources management function across programs in one site. He/She will serve as the Team leader and will provide people management responsibilities including staff hiring, development, performance management for all business partners in the Telus work site. He/she will be involved in people issue consultations, culture management, program roll outs, training and change management by effectively partnering with program leaders across all levels of the organization. As a senior officer, the HR Business Partner will serve as the main escalation point for any site-related issue or program related issue. He/She will manage and provide training to other business partners in ensuring delivery to expectations and objectives met; Research internal and external best practices and communicate the same to other sites; The role will require him/her to manage other programs of her own; Provides in-depth analysis on attrition data and supports AGMs in translating these to realizable and meaningful action plans; Provides roll out program guidelines for various HR projects, announcements and changes being the HR representative in various operating teams; May manage a group of HR Business Partners at any given site; Oversees the day to day operations of the HRBPs in the site and send updates and issues arising on a weekly basis; Initiate improvements on practices that would drive high engagement of the team members.
